For sale – Conway Mirage 2000 trailer tent.
The tent was purchased last year to see if my wife would take to “Glamping”; she did so we have purchased a caravan.
As a result this now has to be sold.
The tent is fully water tight; there was a rip in one roof panel when we got it but that has been repaired with a small patch. We used this tent during Storm Brian last year and it didn’t leak; I also re-waterproofed it last year so should be fine until the end of the season (see photos).
It’s a lovely little tent that is very comfortable.
I have made a frame for the tent to I could mount a roof box; this frame does need painting as I didn’t have any time to do anything more than primer the frame (please see photos). These frames usually cost around £200 for a trailer tent; I have made this one so it fully collapses (takes about 10 minutes) and sits underneath the tent when you are using it. It’s a very simple bolt together system.
The roof box cost me over £400 from Halfords around 3 years ago and I am including it with the tent and the frame.
The tent has had a new aluminium box (white plastic coated) installed when I first got it; this gives lots of extra room and is also lockable by using the 2 asps.
comes with all curtains and both double bed inner tent units (for main beds) and mattress covers.
Bad points:
The lid for the cooker and sink has a burn mark to it as the previous owner had closed the lid without turning it off first; I have 2 brand new lids (as seen in the pictures) that will need to be fitted (they come with the tent).
There is a rip towards the rear of the top cover (stitching came undone) and does need re-sewing.
The tent is 17-18 years old so you need to expect that it has some signs of use/wear in line with that age.
Good points:
Tent comes with a almost brand new porta potty (see photos).
I have included a foldable table with the tent (see pictures).
I have included a 16A to 4 way 230v outlet.
I have included a used awning carpet.
I have included both of the under bed tents (this allows you to have 2 extra double bedrooms underneath the 2 maid double beds). I have 4 children and this makes it so much more comfortable.
It comes with a small butane gas bottle – this is around half full.
I have included a small electric fan heater – helps to keep the chill off if you use the tent towards the end of the year when it is getting cooler on a night time.
It comes with a spare wheel and a new looking tyre.
All posts (awning) and pegs are included.
Comes with 2 inner tents that can be used to make extra rooms in the awning (for a wardrobe and toilet for example).
All new lighting units installed on the trailer (indicator, breaks etc.)
There is a bag full of adjustable guy ropes.
I have included a rubber mallet.
There are various ground sheets that are included with this sale.
I love this little tent; it pulls and absolute dream and I will be very sad to see it go.
