Original Cabanon Eloise Frame Tent in great condition
Dimensions: 4.3m x 3.8m
The Tent consists of a sprung pole set, canvas, inner tent, curtains, clip on ceiling and original instruction sheet. The frame is formed using the sprung pole set, you connect them together and form the frame and they have spikes on the end which you use to begin fixing it to the ground. The outer canvas covering has a rubber roof which is very tough and weatherproof, the sides are made of heavy canvas and it has storm flaps all the way around the bottom. The left hand side of the tent has a large rectangle door on the left hand side which can be opened up like an awning or kept closed depending on your set up, using it as an awning requires additional poles. The front of the tent has 2 clear plastic windows to the left and right of the round topped door, the windows come with curtains (3 pieces) which fix to a rail built in to the inside of the canvas. The right hand side of the tent has large rectangle window made of mesh for ventilation, it has a zip down plastic covering to keep it sealed and weather tight when not in use. The canvas has storm flaps all the way around the bottom of the tent, which can be pegged inwards or outwards (People use them differently). The inner tent fills the whole back half of the tent and clips directly on to the frame, the inner tent has a sewn in groundsheet and has a divider curtain which can be used to separate it into 2 sections (3 man and 2 man) and a zip door on each side. The divider curtain can be detached and rolled up to make 1 large area. Once the inner tent is in the ceiling of living area at the front of the tent can be clipped on which hides the frame of the tent, it also helps keep the tent cool.
The living area at the front of the tent does not come with a groundsheet as standard and I’d say it could be worth using one which covers the whole footprint of the tent.
The tent is in great condition for its age, 2 cut outs have been made in to the storm flaps so that it better fits around the 2 middles poles of the frame, many people peg straight through the storm flaps so this isn’t an issue and it doesn’t compromise the weather proofing. Some of the elastic bands for pegging out need replacing as the tent has been around for a while, however there’s plenty of places to peg it out. Pictures with the lights on the front of the tent were taken the last time we used the tent.
The tent is extremely durable and tough, they don’t make tents like this anymore!
The pictures show the hessian bags that it’s in (included) the bag on the left contains the poles (Original bag) and the bag on the right contains the canvas (Replacement bag).
Sad to see this tent go however we’ve recently invested in an 8 man tent as we needed something a bit bigger. We’ve had it for a couple of years and we bought it from the original owner.
Any questions are welcome and I’ll be happy to help.
Images show the cuts into the storm flaps, the original instructions and the bags it’s currently stored in.
Can deliver within reasonable distance for an addition cost (~£5).
