Features
This is an award winning classic single transverse hoop design tent weighing in at only 1.25kg, it uses silicone coated ripstop fabrics clever construction techniques to give you a two man lightweight shelter for backpacking, cycle touring and mountain marathons.
The fly and groundsheet are made from ripstop siliconised nylon which is strong, waterproof and has a high tensile strength. Whilst the fabric is completely waterproof the seams are un-taped, so Terra Nova have rather cleverly positioned them to avoid water ingress and you can always use some seam sealer to make the tent 100% waterproof.
You get two doors on this versatile tent so that each person has their own entrance and once inside the inner tent has large mesh panels to help with ventilation. The large single hoop DAC Featherlite alloy poles provide strength and stability and creates a large vestibule over one of the doors for storage or sheltered cooking. The Laser Competition 2 is supplied with an extra black pole hood which offers greater weather resistance, UV protection and increased stability for the main pole seam.
With some practice you get the Laser Competition 2 erected in about 5 minutes and once pitched it is a very stable structure thanks to the materials used. The flysheet and inner are attached and will go up as one very quickly, but if you really need to keep the weight to an absolute minimum you can pitch the flysheet separately to create a very light minimalist shelter.
We highly recommend the use of a footprint with all tents to prolong their life, improve waterproofing and to keep the groundsheet clean. Admittedly it will add some weight to your pack but it’s worth it to protect your tent and to prolong its life.

Please set up your tent and ensure it is what you expected within the 14 day returns window.All of our camping and outdoor products are customer or manufacturer returned items.
They are returned because they have some sort of fault (unless stated).
Generally these items are in good working order and usually have very minor damage, if any.
The
one thing we cannot test on any item is leaks so please assume all used
items leak and note we will not accept returns on items due to them
leaking unless sold as new.
Delivery, Postage & Packaging
Items are normally posted out within
1 working day and will arrive upto 48 hours later via DHL.
You are welcome to collect any item
from our warehouse in L40 between 8.30 am and 3pm,
Monday to Friday.
