Conway Tardis Folding Hard Top Trailer Tent.
It offers more rigidity and the feeling of a caravan when erected compared to newer trailer tents. You just crank the roof up and the beds slide out. When erected it measures 5.5 meters so you get loads of space with the ease of pulling a very small light trailer (750kg and the trailer is braked). It’s no stress to move around as it’s only just wider than most cars. There is an original awning included which gives even more space. When folded there is also sufficient luggage space inside.
This trailer comes fully loaded and ready to go. It’s got a sink (water pump has been removed but can be easily replaced), 2 burner gas hob and grill. It also has a fridge with very small freezer compartment that works on 240V only. Loads of clever storage including a wardrobe. Inside the cupboards, plates, bowls, cups, pots, pans, kettle and cutlery are included.
The van has a lead for a hook up to the mains or you can use the 12volt leisure battery if you’re camping without a hook up. There is a separate additional 3-way fridge that comes with it. There is a chemical toilet that goes in the toilet compartment in the awning. There is an additional folding cupboard for the awning and an electric grill plate. Lots of additional lighting for awning area is included also.
At either end of the camper you have 2 double beds. The dining area also converts to a double bed so it will sleep 6.
The jockey wheel and stabilising legs are all working well, spare wheel also situated under the chassis.
It’s a really clever bit of kit, very retro, and certainly turns heads when you’re putting it up. It’s nearly 35 years old years old and still watertight (canvas will need spraying with waterproofing every so often, we did it once a year). The winding mechanism to lift the roof up is solid and it cranks up as it should.
It also has a gas underfloor heater, for colder camping trips in spring or autumn.

All interior floor, cushions, curtains are original and in working order.
This trailer has been with us for 18 years and has been well loved and cared for, and still has plenty of life left in it.
