This auction is for a Conway Carmargue Trailer Tent. It is the 1988 model and whilst the trailer is absolutely solid it does have some issues.
I bought this as a little project but have not had the time to even make a start on it and as we have just bought a new car without a towbar it’s time to let someone else have a go at making it great again.
I have only had the tent open twice, once when I first got it and second to take these pics.
Let’s get the bad bits out of the way first, the worst of which is the 2 holes in the canvas (see pics), they will need preparing but it looks like something has had a nibble at it. Another issue is that one of the interior sleeping compartments is missing.
It does have an awning which zips on to the main canvas but I haven’t had it put up to check it, all the poles seem to be there so it looks promising.
On the good side the trailer tent is in good condition, all 3 tyres (2 on the axle and one spare) look nearly new and it towed across town to our house faultlessly.
It has 2 compartments that attach under the bed areas for 2 extra sleeping pods.
The kitchen detaches off of the back of the trailer and whilst it needs a clean it is functional.
All in all if you’ve got a little time to commit to making her ship shape again then there are plenty more holidays left in it. Absolutely gutted to be getting rid but without a towbar on the car it isn’t going anywhere soon!
