Product Description

Designed for families of four who’s favourite bit of an outdoor adventure is hanging out at base camp (toasted marshmallows optional but highly recommended!). As well as ample space for all of you to get a good snooze, there’s also a sheltered living area with room for a table and chairs or any excess gear.

LIVING ROOM

Seated living area 3,9 sqm ( Height 140 cm) to shelter 4 people seated around a table.

PITCHING/FOLDING

3 poles pass through the sleeves to be placed under tension in the metal pins at the bottom of the flysheet.

PROTECTION FROM THE SUN

The flysheet fabric filters out UV rays with an SPF of 30. Please note: a large amount of UV can pass through a simple open door.

VENTILATION

Lined living room flysheet to ventilate and limit condensation. Ventilation front and rear.

WIND RESISTANCE

We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a turntable to expose each side of the tent to the wind. The well-pitched tent with all the guy ropes rigged around the tent must remain habitable in wind speeds of 50 km/h measured near the ground.

WATERPROOFING

Like all Quechua tents, the waterproofing has been carefully designed, laboratory checked with the WHOLE TENT tested under 200 litres of water per hour and per m² (200mm of rain per hour!) and during our test missions. — 2000mm polyurethane-coated polyester – Seams sealed with thermobonded strips – Polyethylene groundsheet 140 g / m² 5000mm of resistance.

POLES, PEGS

Poles: All our fibreglass poles undergo a double quality control ing excellent resistance to breakage. Tent pegs: Excellent twisting resistance (6mm diameter steel).

TEST PRODUCTThe waterproofness of QUECHUA tents is validated, for the whole tent, under 200 litres of water/hour/m² (200mm rain per hour) for 4 hours. The water column test (= mm schmerbers) measures just the impermeability of the fabric. Our test allows us to prevent any water entering via the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind.Tested in real conditions.
