TECHNICAL INFORMATION
LIVING AREA
Living area of 5 m² with edged ground sheet that can be flattened at the large door. The protective awning allows the door to be opened at all times, even when it rains. 2 large windows with curtains 1 large screen in the door. Pockets on the outside of the bedrooms. Clothesline above the window.
PITCHING/FOLDING
3 poles to be put through the sleeves and to be fixed in the pins at the bottom of the flysheet
SUN PROTECTION
The flysheet fabric filters out UV rays with an SPF of 30. Please note: A large amount of UV rays can pass through an open door.
VENTILATION
Flysheet or living area with lined roof for ventilation and limit condensation. Large screen door at the front.
WIND RESISTANCE
We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel with a rotary table to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly pitched tent with all lines unfolded and tightened, must remain habitable with a wind speed of 50km/h close to the ground.
WATERPROOFING
Like all Quechua tents, special care has been given to the waterproofing, which has been verified in lab tests (WHOLE TENT tested under 200 litres of water/hour/sqm!) and on field tests. — Polyurethane-coated polyester flysheet 2000 mm — Seams sealed using thermo bonded tape -140 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet 5000 mm resistance.
POLES, PEGS
Poles: All our fibreglass poles have been subjected to a double quality control guaranteeing some of the best resistance properties against breakage. Tent pegs: Excellent torsional resistance (steel with a 6 mm diameter).
